Bowls Victoria is running state championships, which are open to all affiliated bowlers.   (Update 18/9/10 Bowls Victoria is running separate events for men and for women.  The events referred to here are mens events only. Please call Steve Butler on 0417 547 260 if you would like any clarification.)

 There are a range of tournaments, including singles, pairs, triples and fours.  The closing date for entries for the pairs, triples and fours is 29 September, and for the singles championship is 9 November.  Entry fees for these events are $6 per player.

I will send a separate email in relation to other Bowls Victoria events – which include under 25 and over 60s events (which have later cut off dates).

Entries must be submitted through the club secretary, so I will need to know if you plan to enter one or more of these tournaments.  You will also have to pay the entry fee before I can submit your entry.  Entry fees can be paid at the bar – you will need to let me know the receipt number when you let me know which event (s) you wish to play in.  You will need to let me know by Monday 27 September, as I will be submitting the entries for St Kilda players on Tuesday 28 September.  I will not be available to submit entries after this date as I will be interstate.

If you are entering the pairs, triples or fours events, you will need to let me know the names of each player on the team, and the order in which you will play (lead, second, third, skip as applicable), as well as providing the receipt number (s) for the fees for the whole team.  I would prefer advice by email if possible, you can leave a note with the relevant details for me at the club, or you can catch me at the club.  If those options don’t work for you, call me.

There are particular dates set for the games to be played – it is your responsibility to ensure that you will be available to play on the dates set.  Penalties for walkovers will apply.

I encourage all of you to consider entering one or more of these events – it is a fantastic opportunity to meet and play against some great bowlers, and we would love to see a strong representation from St Kilda players. 

A copy of this notice will go on the notice board in the locker room at the club – please let any members who may not have access to email about these events.
